Rust server hosting on Zeros Host

Running a Rust server in the UK means dealing with two problems most generic hosts handle badly: the memory requirements for a populated server, and the overhead of managing Oxide plugins and wipe cycles. Zeros Host is set up for both.

Rust does not include a free trial. You get full panel access from the moment the server is created, so you can install Oxide, run a plugin, and check latency.

What the panel gives you

The panel is a heavily modified Pterodactyl fork. For Rust servers specifically, the useful additions are:

• Startup Config - set server name, description, map seed, world size, and max players from a structured form. No manual launch flags to edit.
• RustEdit map upload - upload a custom map file directly from the panel for custom-map servers.
• File History - automatic snapshots of your server files on every panel save, with diff view and one-click restore. Useful for recovering from a bad plugin install or a wipe config change.
• Oxide support - the Rust egg includes Oxide by default. Install plugins by dropping them into oxide/plugins via the file manager.

Hardware and latency

Most servers run on Hetzner infrastructure in Germany, and we also have a real UK node live in London. Latency from the UK is typically 20-40ms on the German node, which is comparable to UK-based hosts, and lower still on the UK node. The server installs its files from Steam on first start, which is normally quick but can take longer if Steam's download servers are under load.
