Project Zomboid Server Hosting

Build 42 multiplayer support for survival and sandbox groups. Steam Workshop mods, sandbox configuration editor, and scheduled restarts are all managed from the panel without touching config files.

Steam Workshop Mods

Add Workshop mod IDs from the panel and the server downloads them on the next restart. Brita's Weapons, Hydrocraft, and thousands more. No manual file management.

Crash Auto-Restart

If the server process exits unexpectedly, the panel detects it and restarts automatically. No manual intervention required.

Scheduled Restarts

Set a cron schedule from the panel's Schedules page to restart your server automatically. Useful for keeping memory usage in check on long-running survival servers.

Automatic Backups

World saves are backed up on a schedule. Restore to any previous save point from the panel if a save is corrupted or something goes wrong.

Browser IDE

Edit servertest.ini and sandbox config files directly in the panel's in-browser editor. Server name, password, max players, PVP rules, and sandbox settings without raw file editing.

Sandbox Configuration Editor

Visual editor for zombie population, speed, loot rarity, day length, water and electricity shutoffs, XP multipliers, and infection rules.

UK and EU Servers

Servers hosted on Hetzner hardware in Germany, plus a live UK node in London. Good connections for players across the UK and Europe.

Frequently asked questions

How many players can my Project Zomboid server support?

Player capacity depends on your plan's RAM allocation. Project Zomboid needs at least 4 GB to run reliably at all -- a fresh world with no players or mods already uses close to 2.3 GB on its own -- so every plan starts there. The Starter plan (4 GB RAM) suits a solo or very small group. The Standard plan (6 GB RAM) is our recommended tier for a server with regular activity, giving real headroom above the minimum. The Pro plan (8 GB RAM) adds further headroom again for a larger or more active group, or a heavier mod list. Build 42's improved netcode handles higher stable player counts than earlier builds.

Can I install mods on my Project Zomboid server?

Yes. Open the Workshop Mods section in your server panel, enter the Steam Workshop mod IDs you want, and the server downloads them on the next restart. Mods load automatically. You do not need FTP access or manual file transfers.

How do I schedule automatic restarts for Project Zomboid?

Open the Schedules page in your server panel. Create a new schedule, set a cron expression for when you want the restart to run (for example, 0 4 * * * for daily at 4am UTC), add a 'Send power action: Restart' task, and enable the schedule. The panel stops and restarts the server at the configured time.

Where are your Project Zomboid servers located?

Most of our servers run on Hetzner hardware in Germany, and we also have a real UK node live in London. Between the two you get good connections for players across the UK and Europe.

Do you support Steam Workshop mods?

Yes. Steam Workshop mod support is built into the panel. Add mod IDs from the Workshop Mods page and they are downloaded and loaded automatically on the next server restart. No FTP, no manual file placement. Brita's Weapons, Hydrocraft, and thousands of community mods work this way.
